LandSec have submitted plans for the first phase of the redevelopment of Queen's Arcade.

Initially focusing on converting the street fronting units on Working Street to restaurants, there's a phase 2 down the line and presumably this will give a better idea of their overall plans for the centre.

It's noted in the cover letter that Halifax are moving into St. David's, although the recent announcement of Halifax being subsumed into Lloyds may scupper that.

Must have been last weekend as it was closed by the time I came home last Sunday 5th July. They've gone from having 3 branches originally in Cardiff to zero. I don't know if it wasn't performing or there's another reason, as the phase 2 plans haven't been submitted I guess it's not to do with the redevelopment of the centre.

Presumably shops like F. Hinds and The Entertainer will be relocated ahead of the next phase when something suitable comes up in St. David's or elsewhere.
