Jesus Christ! I don't know what's happened there but it must be really bad.

The lead stories are currently -

"She was Cilla's bridesmaid, now the TV star's niece shares her memories of her aunt the legend"

"The train hacks that could save you more than £100 on return train journeys from Wales"

and

"This man loves Spam so much he has eaten it every day for nearly 60 years"

Very sad.

There was also an article yesterday about a man who has worked in McDonalds for 15 years... Really not news!

Also news about the guy who simulated 1,000 years on Football Manager - a very niche geeky subject for fans of the game, but one which doesn't need mainstream media coverage.

Also, since when did it become acceptable to use the word 'hack' in place of 'tip' or 'trick' - growing increasingly common and it really grinds my gears - especially as no dictionary definition I can find defines hack being used in this way
Some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue...

Oh FFS!

"43 things you only know if you grew up in Bridgend"

I'm not going to link to it.

On the contrary, surely a new low, even for them. It reads like a 7 year old has written it, in a hurry. Even if you ignore the copious use of "They said that..." (who exactly is "they"), it's still terrible.

Wales Online - is this really English???

'If you see the area between where Krispy Kreme and Burger and Lobster are now you will notice that there is no buildings. This is because it used to be a canal no-one has ownership of it'.

This is appallingly written, is no one proof reading this shit?

Not that well researched either...
A Protestant Martyr from "1150" - the reformation didn't happen for almost another 400 years!

I mean I know these poor journos are under pressure with understaffing. But come on. Basic things people!

He was actually martyred in 1555, unlike this article, which deserves to be burnt at the stake for its multiple errors. I shouldn't think the walk organiser is that pleased at the entire tour being given away for free instead of the £15 they are hoping to charge.

Also - "the famous Pillars restaurant"? Are they on commission or something?

It's a new low!

"this gate remains largely in tact today" - That's meant to be 'intact' presumably!

"Kingsway has a hump in the road at this point because it follows the hump on the road where a medieval bridge over the canal used to be" - Um? Apart from the double humping how on earth was there a 'medieval bridge' over a 19th century canal?

And then we get - "it was the area populated by bakeries"

Is there no shame?

Criticise as much as you wish, you are all still reading this apparent rubbish!! Speaking personally, I have never read one of their reports - except as reported in this thread!
