if it's about Cardiff.. Sport, Entertainment, Transportation, Business, Development Projects, Leisure, Eating, Drinking, Nightlife, Shopping, Train Spotting! etc.. then we want it here!

Would be such a shame if Hope St does not go ahead. To me a landmark and change in the usual 60 to 80 metre height

Cardiff needs a good 120m plus building

Totally agree and I thought this one was a runner - and we don't know for sure at the moment that it isn't.

If cancelled I guess next in line of this kind of height would be the Bayscape Tower. I'm more hopeful on that one now, especially with the site being prepared for commencement of first phase. But it was the location of the Hope Street Tower that really appealed to me (apart from the height!). If the Watkin Jones project is cancelled what then for this tiny plot of land I wonder? perhaps the size of the site is the very reason that this desired project is in doubt? That said it hasn't shrunk so surely those restrictions would have already been considered? still, plenty of room for a Greggs I suppose :roll:

Only thing I don't like about bayscape is the location, it's almost in penarth
