Cardiff airport

If I try and book a flight right now for next week, say leaving on Monday 31st and flying back Friday 4th September flying with 20kg hold luggage the whole trip costs £143.98. That's fine for anyone for decent few days in the city on holiday or for work. I'd arrive in the evening on Monday at 17:00 and would depart at 17:40 on the Friday.

For anyone flying on business those times are brilliant. I can arrive on a Monday night ready for three full days of work and leave the office near Munich early on the Friday to get back.

I don't need all those extras that the 'All In' option provides, and besides it comes in at £479.98 if I did want to do it, which is kind of okay for having lounge access as well.

You pay extra for extras, it's a basic concept. If you need extra leg room, want to use lounge access, want food on a small one hour flight then you have to expect to pay for it.

This has gone quiet recently but why is Turkey listed as a direct destination on the CA website, with information coming soon?..

Going to Dubai next month via Heathrow actually. Quite fancy trying that cruise as well, hopefully it'll work well for them and similar flights will come. A scheduled flight into one of the two Dubai airports would be amazing, can't see it happening quite yet though.

I think it's got to the stage now where Cardiff Airport isn't going to be able to keep up with other airports without a major revamp of its terminal building. This is the missing piece of the puzzle, in my opinion. The facilities at Bristol are now pushing world-class. On top of this, they somehow offer cheaper flights.

The problem is, the Welsh govt. seem to be in trouble with the EU for merely investing in the airport! Why buy an airport if you aren't allowed to loan your own money to it? Could anybody enlighten me on this?

It's about time we annexed Swansea anyway, right? I hear the locals are all for it.
