Jonny - how are you diddling to find out all this info? Letting plans haven't been updated for couple of months, and their Facebook page is usually rubbish (its now nearly all marketing fluff, and less 'news' about upcoming stores).

Any news on who the tenant taking the upstairs of H&M might be?
Their Capitol store is better laid out than their existing St Davids store. Its not so long and narrow, basically. The new bigger store won't be so narrow and will, of course, be much bigger. So do we think this means H&M might close down their Capitol store at the next break clause (they recently renewed the lease I think)?

I think St. Davids may have made a little mistake on their website. They recently uploaded the latest copy of their leasing brochure, which includes the most up-to-date letting plans. This brochure indicates MK, Swarovski, Kiko etc.

Inspire Kitchenware are now open in the old Kamigata unit, looks a bit "pop-up" to me.

Head are a record store (seriously!) and are opening upstairs in the old Dwell at the end of October.

Don't all rush at once. What's the Welsh for schadenfreude?

When they renewed it, it was only for an extra three years, which isn't really a lot for such a store. I think they've got another 18 months or so left.

I'm imagining H&M will have a second floor above in the same way New Look does?

By the way, there was a rumour that the unused (small) unit in Eastside (KUG11) was due to be a cocktail bar. It's surely too small to be anything substantial food-wise, and it's a bit too out of the way to be another sandwich/cake shop.

Carluccios are opening a Christmas pop up shop in the old Guess unit

Krispy Kreme have opened a kiosk outside Superdry.

H&M will be opening their new store in the second week of November - The Capitol H&M store will be closing in 2 weeks time.

According to a friend who works at H&M St Davids, there has been a lot of interest in the upper floors of the unit (with site visits in the current store).

If H&M are leaving this could be a good time for a re-model of the Capitol. I always thought there should be an entrance on Station Terrace and that one of the reasons it has struggled is the lack of a walkthrough to Queen Street station.

The footfall that would be created by creating a walkthrough to Queen Street station would be considerable and if they could also make the new cinema accessible from the main capitol building it would do a great deal to help this ailing shopping complex.
