Ultracomida - Spanish deli/restaurant based in Aberystwyth and Narbeth to open in Cardiff -

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/f ... i-11444429

It will be in the old Burger King on the corner of Westgate Street/Guildhall.

The East End craft beer place (runoured to be going here) might be going elsewhere then.

Also an Italian deli/prosecco bar is opening on the ground floor of the Bunkhouse in St Mary st.

This article refers to the new Premier Inn plus two speculative office builds in the Bay -

The office builds will reflect the 'eclectic' character of existing Bay architecture. Not sure I like that - a bit of continuity wouldn't go amiss. I'll reserve judgment until I've seen the renders.

A significant change, going from Burger King to an upmarket deli. The face of Cardiff is certainly changing.

Must get back to cooking my quinoa ;)

Its a little confusing to be honest. It talks of 2 speculative buildings at the start.. and then talks of 1 of the 2 buildings being "designed speculatively to allow flexibility for occupiers". What does this mean exactly?

I'd be surprised if there were speculative development to be honest. There is still space in the Estate and the city centre seems to be taking up the current demand quite nicely.

Agreed, I would be pleasantly surprised if a new office is actually built down there anytime soon.

Does anyone have any ideas wherE the new hospital is going to be built? You know, the one we can build with the savings from coming out of the EU.

We are getting one new hospital a week, 52 a year. One the basis that Wales has 5% of UK population we should get 2 and a half in the next 12 months, one of which surely must be in Cardiff.

It was said that we COULD build that many hospitals with the sort of money we give to the EU, which we haven't left yet and won't for at least two years.

Deliberately misunderstanding things for effect will not help matters with the stabilisation of our economy.
