Indeed, we went to the Birmingham MPW restaurant a year or so back which was nice enough, however after a couple weeks from when we visited, it scored a ZERO out of 5 for food hygiene

Anyway good news that the SWP ridiculous objection to the Turtle Bay restaurant plans on St Mary Street has been ignored

Went to Artigiano this morning. Nice people, nice pastries, reasonable prices, weakish coffee. It was pretty much deserted.

I also gave it a try the other day - wasn't impressed, as you say pretty much empty. Went to the coffee counter and asked for a flat white and was told to go to the other counter to order and pay, then went back to the coffee counter and waited for a while. When it arrived the coffee was watery, bitter and very hot. Won't be going back.

Think i'll stick with Coffee No 1 or Nero.

Went to the Working Street branch the other weekend and thought it was really well designed and a good atmosphere. Didn't have coffee mind, just some wine.

I went to the queen at branch recently and thought it was pretty good. I imaginecthe weekend trade keeps the week day quietness at balanced. Cardiff and the valleys love a coffee and they love a drink later on!

Glad they are re-visiting the idea, it's a shame it didn't work out at the tabernacle. I hope they go for another venue that's a little different.

'Slug and Lettuce' up and trading in the old 'Brown's' unit.
Looking through the window surprised it took so long to change the chairs and signage.

Has anyone been to the cafe called Milk & Sugar on Windsor Place? Not sure how long it has been open but I can honestly say it does the best salads/sandwiches etc and coffee I have tried so far in Cardiff.
