Probably that time frame includes creating the public realm works in that area, knowing how reliable wales online is.

Looks like you were right! According to their Facebook pages Comic Guru https://www.facebook.com/pg/ComicGuru/p ... e_internal is moving to Queens Arcade and Antics https://www.facebook.com/AnticsModelShopCardiff/ are moving to Wyndham Arcade.

I'm a bit confused about why the demolition is still being done in two stages if all the tenants have been moved out. I'm guessing it's to do with the need for bus stops on the nothern side of Wood Street.

Me too. Could it be because of the Media Wales building?

I wander past the bus station site pretty much daily and hope to see this long awaited development finally get underway!! Well today it looked a little different as there was actually less going on and the site looked quite clear - no jcb's and generally clear of works vans and workers. SO - I'm just wondering if this means we will finally see the start 'proper' of construction with main contractor (whoever that is) moving in? I'm hoping so as I'm looking forward to watching this significant development grow - Oh and with 1,000's of workers on their way to HMRC and BBC pretty soon, then a bus station will come in handy also!!

As from today the BBC side of wood street is now open and also Central street in between the BBC and No.2. So a lap of the new BBC is now possible!! :)

Walked past the Bus Station (to be!) today and noticed some earth is still being shuffled around the site. There is also a camera up on the corner of the new tax office, pointing at the station site, presumably to run a time lapse of the build.

I did hear from a good source that some of the hold up is due to a relocation project (from the other side of the city of 1500 ish jobs and generation of new jobs - does that narrow it down!) which needs more space and parking onsite and they have gone straight to the welsh assembly to amend the plans to accomodate. This is a rumour but could explain the hold up. Their lease doesn’t have long to run and this would be perfect timing.

So another rework of the design then if this is true, maybe to enlarge the office section near Central Station?

It would explain a lot. I'm also curious how the Welsh Government are getting on with that inward investor that the current office space is being reserved for. It's been quite a while now since that initially was mentioned.

Legal and general are looking to move out of their knox court office this September. Could they possibly find a temporary office e.g. Hodge house and then move their entire Cardiff work force into this new building once completed?

A reliable source has informed me that the delay on the interchange is due to the Welsh Government. Final contracts need to be signed, but this is due imminentialy.
