Perhaps they can close havelock street and join the two areas for a bigger, more useful public square

I'm wondering what is going in the old coach tour unit at the base of Southgate House facing st davids house, they've been working in there, so I'm wondering if someone is lined up? Coffee shop seems likeliest? Anyway - that's going to be a prime site in about 3 years time (when HMRC up and running) and at one corner of new square. And even more so in 10 years when new bus station complete!!!

Also, upon reading back over this thread, the progress made on this development makes me happy :D

I don’t know why but I didn’t expect to see cranes so soon. It’ll to up fairly quickly I reckon.

Seeing as the Government are behind this, I would say it will be built fairly quickly compared to say the BBC HQ.

Quicker the better! Hopefully that means the quicker At.Dsvids House is demolished.

St.Davds House is officially being demolished in early 2019. As suggested on here, it notes that Tesco will or might get one of the units under the BBC or the interchange. Hopefully this means the whole thing is going! I cannot wait.

There's one very small unit left under the BBC with the others being let to Boots and Greggs, so I doubt Tesco will be going there.
