Great photos! Really looking forward to seeing this building come to life! Very optimistic that we've got a building we'll be very proud of. It seems a relatively minor thing but i wonder when the building will get the BBC illuminated sign attached?

Dunno. There's a long fit out to come with BBC staff relocating in the Autumn of next year. Presumably, the ground floor retail elements will happen before then so that the demolition of Saint David's House can begin.

Is it wrong than I'm more exciting for the demolition of St.Davids House? What an eyesore...

Jan 2019. Although I thought they had decided to do it all in one go now
In terms of the BBC, I agree about a quality build. I just love that roof

The roof is stunning isn't it? It does look like a quality build overall. I'm looking forward to it opening bottom floor etc. to the general public. It'll be good to see all the construction finish on Number 2, and see a bit of life in retail units etc. It'll help when tenants move into Number 2 as well I guess. The whole area is going to be very busy in 2 or 3 years.

As for St. David's House, I wish they'd sort out the commercial issues with the tenants so the whole thing can be torn down. It looks like a pig, especially next to all the new buildings now.

Unless you walk behind it you can totally miss the new HMRC. Some people are going to get a total shock when it gets knocked down. It'll be appearing out of nowhere!

That's right Ash and I'm the one. Solid mid 20th century architecture.
