Apparently plan for a huge union flag window treatment proposed for Tŷ William Morgan, the new HMRC building, has been scrapped due to cost: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-58678821

When did cost ever stop things....it was scrapped because of the widespread opposition - and fears that it would become a flashpoint for protests and a target for vandalism.

Excellent news. Although I now have little use for my sports catapult and supply of paintgun pellets.

Anyone know when the bus station is actually opening? I think it's been formally handed over to TAW now by the contractors but since then there hasn't been much activity on site. The only thing I can find online is that it's due to open by end of 2023, doesn't look like there's much chance of that now.

Spoke to some of the contractors at ISG and the staff at Wood st house. It's supposed to open in spring 24. For definite!

They can't have much to do, just fit out inside etc. All the buildings above it are occupied as well.

I work in the offices above it. i can't say i've noticed much activity there, but I'm only there once a week mostly. I'll keep an eye out for activity inside though when I'm outside.I'm there the next two days so I'll try and have a sneaky look.

There's definitely activity inside the ground floor of the interchange, seen a few people on there the last couple of days
