With a slow but steady exodus of various organisations from Brunel House, is it only matter of time until that iconic building is repurposed? Might it become residential or more dreaded student flats before long?

I'd like it to stay, but have a more modern re-clad of some sort, but you might be right.

As for Number 3, Admiral have taken the remainder of the building after Which? took a floor I think. So Admiral Law are taking two floors, so that means a few more of the 7 floors are remaining for expansion or other parts of Admiral moving in.

As a structure Brunel House is quite impressive. I think with a clean up of the cladding and some modern glass it could look really good.

I think they are taking 70,000sq ft (according to walesonline) which is presumably all the building minus Which.

Yes just to clarify. Admiral taking 70k sqft. Law arm going + other departments. Deal v. Much done on basis they don't need all the space yet, but expect to continue to grow so need space to do so. This office came up, in walking distance of HQ so deal struck now. Admiral have already outgrown HQ and space at premium.

Geldards taking a few floors in No 4 Capital Qtr

That was probably what pipped the company I know about to the post. They were looking for only 6,000 to 8,000 sq meters of floor space at that location, but it all seems to be fully occupied now.

Anyone know of any similar quality options nearby?

Geldards only took 30,000sq ft, so unless someone else is mid-negotiation there's still almost 70,000sq ft of space left to occupy, so covers the lower end of the required space you've mentioned?

Other than some of the older buildings mentioned above there's nothing new other than Canal Parade and I'm sure that's at least partially occupied and doesn't meet the space requirement you've mentioned.

You'd hope J R Smart would get on with John Street sometime next year, Capital Quarter has let really well for them.

Not sure if anyone else has spotted this, a footbridge is now in place across the canal between Capital Quarter and the student tower. Looks decent from the road bridge at least.
