Planning has been granted for an increase in height of the Herbert street tower to a little over 80m
+ a section 106 agreement has been signed, looks like this one will be starting very soon.

That sounds encouraging!

I wonder if leaving these advertising displays empty is a sign of construction work soon to commence - or perhaps nothing to do with it and new ads will appear tomorrow?

There was some activity on site for a couple of days and since then there's been nothing, with the site empty apart from a solitary digger doing nothing.

I'm also curious about the number 4 and 5 plots. They've cleared the number 4 site, flattened it and are now just using it as a sort of car park.

Excellent news! Looks like they'll be targeting an August 2019 finish I'd imagine.

Interesting that the contractor's ISG are signed up too. They're bagging a lot of work in Cardiff at the moment.

They haven't got detailed planning permission for no 5 yet, can they start building without it?
