Following on from discussion on the Dolffin Quay thread, I decided to get in touch with Igloo asking if there were likely to be any updates on Porth Teigr. Now I appreciate they probably cannot say much due to commercial sensitivites, but there wasn't even any "we're looking at a lot of exciting opportunities and there is significant interest in Porth Teigr" generalities. Instead the reply focused on their community outreach/sponsorship work:
"You seem to be up to date with the latest news on Porth Teigr, although we are also providing support via the Porth Teigr Community Fund to cycling charity Pedal Power
https://www.cardiffpedalpower.org/, The Wallich homelessness charity
https://thewallich.com/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwn ... AsyT8P8HAQ, the forthcoming Butetown Carnival
https://allevents.in/cardiff/butetown-c ... 3846760156, the WMC's production Tiger Bay The Musical
https://www.wmc.org.uk/Productions/2017 ... /TigerBay/ and also a "phygital" event (details attached)."
Not entirely what to make of this. Does it mean it really is all quiet on the development front? Or is the fact they are continuing to do this sort of thing part of the PR for a scheme that will be bringing plans forward?
