So full disclosure, this is my tweet.
My sources are impeccable but I don't blame people for being sceptical (although it's since be mentioned in the Mail). What a get for the city it is. The most popular annual sporting even in the world. And because there's no tournament that summer it means it will be the most watched broadcast on the planet that year.

I think the sceptisism is purely because we've previously been told we can't have it because of a lack of the right infrastructure and nothing else.

I would be over the bloody moon if we had it.

I've seen at least two people mention on Twitter that the leader of the council was seen in Berlin last weekend ...

Well done! It's looks like you could be right.

So can the WRU get that new development up in time? It's hard to believe they're not linked.

Yes perhaps a condition - which presumably means all systems go on that development or plenty of egg on faces of wru (pardon the pun!) would be involved! reckon we'll hear more about that next week or when official announcement made. This is all tremendous news for Cardiff! and I wonder if the BBC may just accelerate things 6 months/ish to also be at the centre of this massive game?
Oh and credit to Ben and his 'sources' in London! ;) - yep for all Cardiff breaking news before it breaks! keep tuning in here folks!! (end of house ad :) )

Sky Sports and BBC reporting this now too. Sounds like it's going ahead!
Hopefully all the developments around the stadium get going faster now, and it might prompt Cardiff Council to stop messing around and release some plans for the bus station.

Wow are we getting a bus station to!!

maybe a bus station could also be a condition?

This is a pretty big deal for Cardiff and if the eyes of the footballing world will be on us for this match then it would be so much better for the city of Cardiff, if the area around the stadium isn't looking like work in progress. Mind you there's no way that all that is planned for central square will be complete - unless we get some chinese contractors on board in which case it'll all be done before the official announcement!!

Hopefully a shot in the arm for the rest of Central Square :D

Is this an alternative from UEFA because we very narrowly missed out on games for Euro 2020?

It's better that the UEFA fixtures we might have got. I'm pretty ignorant about football politics but Wales performance on the field might have helped the bid.

If this happens - well done to all involved in the bid.
