The last 5 minutes of the last 4 games have ruined me (not including Brentford doing us a massive favour deep into stoppage time last night) From the highs of Pilks equaliser at Sheffield United, to the devastation of missing 2 penalties against Wolves, resigned to the playoffs after Grealish's wonderstrike to stealing 3 points with a late brace yesterday.

Win 3 out of our last 4 and we are up. I don't want to get my hopes up, as it is the hope that kills you, but we are close and if Millwall, Sunderland and Birmingham City can do us a favour to, then the promise land may indeed beckon.

Who'd be a football fan eh?

Well I'm feeling your joy and pain!! I watched the Brentford game yesterday after listening to our great victory - when that goal went in at the end!!! Wow it's back on! but who knows how we'll feel this time next week? I'm keeping the faith and I'll be there next saturday night - but will be really hoping that millwall (who have got loads to play for themselves and are in superb form) do us a big favour on friday. As a lifelong city fan I know that sometimes what seems like easy games can go pear shaped :o  - BUT I think this is a pretty solid team and I'd much rather be in our position now than Fulhams - but, oh the stress!!

What a result in Hull yesterday...
The City of Cardiff will be buzzing next Sunday....
It could be a memorable day for football fans in the City..
I am confident that the Bluebirds will beat Reading securing Promotion to the Premiership and the Promotion Party that will follow is getting my hyped
I’ll be there

Hi Peaky - and welcome to the forum by the way!

As you said a great result for us yesterday to keep it all in our hands, just beat 'lowly Reading' to achieve our dream of promotion to the Premier League and not in disguise this time (when we did it in Red - it felt very wrong to me - but I still carried on supporting us). So if all we've got to do is beat Reading then how come it's a week away and I'm a nervous wreck already!! just hope the players will be more composed than I will be a week today!! (oh and more sober for that matter - can't do this one dry!) It's going to be quite a week with this game being cranked up and will it be a sell out? it should be BLUEBIRDS!

Cheers Paul - let’s hope for Blue Skies next Sunday and the excitement of a Promotion Party
Will give the City of Cardiff and the region exposure globally
Should encourage further investment and visitors
And you never know if Warnock is given a chance to see the season through The Bluebirds could establish themselves in the Premier league and a few Welsh Youngsters could gain valuable experience in the top flight

Yes being a part of the worlds richest football league will be great for Cardiff! No offence to teams like Burton but when we play the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs I would imagine that more hotel rooms are sold! and champagne corks popped (well hopefully not - signifies a win!!) Also the week in week out global exposure can do us no harm, we already punch way above our weight with the sporting events recently hosted by us - champs lge final and boxing. It's all very good - Oh god but we've gotta beat Reading fist!!!

30,000 tickets sold already. Will no doubt sell out. The sleeping giant stirs.

1 more game. Reading need a result to stay up so it will be no walkover. 7 more sleeps until the dream may become reality. It's going to be a nervy week!

1 more sleep. This has seemed like one of the longest weeks in my life. I'm naturally pessimistic so think we will 'Cardiff' this up somehow however with Warnock at the helm, I have faith.

My nerves are going to be shredded this time tomorrow and there will still be 3 hours to kick off

Lovely weather, capacity crowd, bank holiday weekend... this could be one to savour!

C'MON CITY!!!!!

Well it's going to be quite an occasion! I think I'm in roughly the same place as you in terms of pessimism/caution? or maybe it's memories of massive games that went wrong for us - Stoke and Blackpool being top of my list   . I think my problem on how to face this game is the extremes of the outcome - either cloud 9 or extremely low, no middle ground!! Still it's very exciting and I'm really looking forward to it even if I am becoming a twitching wreck!! hopefully the Warnock factor will get us to the promised land! - oh and 3 or 4 goals by the team in the first half will help!! If we are say 3-0 up at half time and fulham are 3-0 down I may actually be able to enjoy the 2nd half!!! BLUEBIRDS!!
