It's only 26 floors

Walked past and they are making good progress on the foundations!!
Only hampered by large sections of "yellow" steel lying around the site, if only they could find somewhere out of the way to store them :D

Anyone know why the rear parking area of the Old Leo Abse buildings are all cordoned off?

What's all the fuss about delays on this? They have to close a road for a period of time to get the tower up, it can't be a quick process to arrange for this to happen (councils do bugger all quickly).

Big projects in all walks of engineering are always delayed for a variety of reasons throughout the development and it happens all over the UK and all over the world.

It's going up, that's all that matters.

Exactly! What is everyone going on about? I've made it perfectly clear that the building has already been forward sold and will go up. Simple! End of!

Just visited site today and it seems that this weekend they will be having another crack at getting that tower crane up and running. If this work is completed they will then be in a position to put up the site hoardings. So lets all hope for wind free weekend!!

Luckily the match is on Friday but the city will still be very busy, not the best weekend for road closures.

Well they have made a good start on the crane so they're not starting from scratch. So perhaps it's looking like getting loads (pardon the pun) done on saturday as sunday is looking a little gustier. I'm sure the Watkin-Jones team are keeping a very keen eye on this weekends weather forecast! oh and some of us are to! :geek:
