When has the finished product ever looked like the renders

No1, 2 and BBC HQ at central square?

The Admiral HQ looked *better* in real life than it did in the renders.

Am I the only person on here that likes the cladding?
I prefer the matt cladding to the shiny finish on the renders
I think it will age better

Are you basing it on that it looks shit now and will continue looking the same in the future instead of it looks great now but slightly duller in the future like the Millennium center or central library cladding?

No! I'm basing it on the fact that I like the look of it now and I believe that it will continue to look like that in the future!

Here's a view inside of one of the modern shared kitchens:

Ignoring the usual Zach, the colour of the render in the artist’s drawing isn’t far off from the actual photo posted earlier.

I think it will look ok. Not great, but better than altolusso and celestia. Not every new build can be white Portland stone or concrete - nor would we want it to be.

Yes I agree + it's very early days to write it off - the render changes a fair bit as you get to the main tower so I don't think it can be judged as a whole on the first panels. On a more positive front related to progress of construction they are now up to level 17...

(mind you that seagull at the bottom has just seen the render and doesn't look to impressed!! :) )

Great work Zach, i predicted it would end up like X1 in Manchester and i dont think it will be as good as that even.

Are we really claiming victories on one row of cladding? Even if you "predicted it", the cladding already looks much better than that mess of a building you posted.

We really shouldn't be so quick to judge. Even if it doesn't look identical to the renders, it still may end up looking good.
