Clwb Ifor Bach redevelopment plans submitted.
Progress on this has been pretty glacial but it's one of those things that will probably happen. Clwb Ifor is very well run and should be able to raise a lot of the captal required from public and philanthropic sources.

There's a notice for a alcohol licence on a door on the ground floor of the new Build to Rent Tower on Charles Street, its by White Hare Distillery, which seems to be based in Usk. The application includes live music and recorded music.
Quite positive given the empty units that have been present on the Student Accommodation next door since it opened.

One of the Cottage former staff works in The Cambrian Tap. She was telling someone the re-opeining was delayed as the manager earmarked pulled out. Didn't hear anymore than that, but going in the Cambrian Tap and asking seems the best source at the moment.
I noticed on Sunday was was back underway.

It'll be nice to have a good pub in town rather than endless tacky bars.
It doesn't look like they spent £1m though

Some news on the new pub opening on Churchill Way. Seems "The Churchill Arms" was a working title, now confirmed to be "The Cardiff Arms":
www.facebook.com/thecardiffarmsGreat location and good use of that corner building to turn it into a proper corner pub. I imagine that'll look really striking in the canal development.
