PostTue Feb 16, 2016 8:21 pm

The Made in Cardiff documentary about Cardiff airport is narrated by Eddie Butler

Put your seats upright and fold your tray tables away - the second series of The Airport is scheduled to land on Made in Cardiff , tonight (February 16).

The six-part series, which follows Cardiff Airport’s journey throughout 2015, gives viewers a special behind-the-scenes insight into the new developments, exciting challenges, the people that make the Airport ‘tick’ and the airlines that connect Wales to the world.

From a brand new Flybe airline base, to major sporting events, charity challenges and even more Airport developments, cameras have once again been given access to all areas of the business to follow Cardiff Airport on its continuing transformation.

Narrated by Eddie Butler , tonight's first episode will see preparations for an emergency exercise at the airport and join duty manager, Cristina, on her busy shift.

Debra Barber, Managing Director and Chief Operating officer at Cardiff Airport, said: “It was great to have the crew with us throughout 2015, it offered them a real opportunity to capture all of the exciting developments and further improvements we’ve made, so that these stories can be told to the viewers at home.

"2015 was another very busy year for Cardiff Airport, and one which brought its own exciting challenges - we opened a brand new Flybe base, tackled Rugby World Cup travel , made further improvements to the customer journey and even had time for charity events – ending the year +13% on passenger numbers.

“The series has given us the opportunity to take the people of Wales on the journey with us, and I’m excited for Made in Cardiff TV’s viewers to see just what makes their national Airport so special.”

The Airport is on at 9pm Tuesdays, on Made in Cardiff.

Dave,

You don't work for Wales Online do you, your posts seem kind of automated?
If so, do they ever read the press releases before popping them out with the rest on the click bait?

My ad blocker has just stopped 128 ad hits from a single Wales Online click, which has to be a new record for me!
I know sites like this have to make money but sometime less is more.
