The timing's a bit odd though considering an announcement is meant to be soon.

You wouldn't think that they would've had to dig too deep to discover that changes were afoot? maybe we'll hear more next week

The article finishes on this note:
"While there are a number of vacant units at the moment, this is a deliberate measure that facilitates the development possibilities to improve and enhance the centre. We hope to share more information on this soon."

That would suggest that they are going to make an announcement but they don't seem too rushed at the moment.

We'll be waiting at least a month or so yet until anything is submitted. The delay is caused by the issues already highlighted here about the canal feeder. From what I've heard today, that is looking less realistic. Nice idea in theory, but in practice...

Haha, that article is great. I love that they took pictures of all the empty units and the caption "we are not sure what this used to be". So good.

And many of those stores they claim have gone, were never in Captal Centre anyway! Journalism at its very best(!)

I like forward to them running an article about how The Western Mail isn't anything what it used to be!

You'd think they'd try to develop images that show the scheme in it's context. That could have been cut and paste from anywhere with the "Capitol" sign slapped on it.

I'm not surprised by the intent of having a mix-use development of residential, retail and leisure. Crucially, IT HAS PARKING!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing more details of this proposal.
