I'd say this building is worse than the original. The original was pre cast concrete and was fairly dire but at least it was coherent and there was a lovely willow tree outside. Who were the architects for this one?
Dumfries Place is just a horror show of awfulness (Sainsbury's building excepted). Even the railway bridge is the worst in Cardiff (and we have a collection of very crap railway bridges). No ground level activity unless you count Evans Cycles nestled in the bowels of a po-mo monolithic MSCP. Diseased trees and six lanes of traffic.
More po-mo filth if you look north towards Dumfries House (where Geldards are based). Look south and you are confronted by fungi stained cladding slowly dropping off The Aspect. Haywood House looks like it was built by a child with lego bricks e-numbered up to the eyeballs. And then this latest fuck up - the architect has clearly lost interest/ had a nervous breakdown midway through the design process and forgotten what to do with the top two floors. The only saving grace is that Station Terrace is even worse.
