Looks fine for student accommodation, shame it can't be built up to about 30 stories to hide Ty Pont Hernia from sight!

I work near this development after a recent job change, so I've been enjoying watching this one progress each week. It'll be up in no time and is going to fill a gap nicely between the first couple of Capital Quarter buildings and Number 1 and 2.

I had a word with someone working on the Capital Quarter site one lunchtime this week and he told me they'll be starting number 3 next month after the remaining work on number 2 is completed, which looks like just a bit of groundwork (paving etc).

I'm not sure how accurate this is but he also implied they are in no hurry to start on the residential tower this year, although I hope he doesn't actually know!

Yes these buildings will be completed quite quickly. would be nice when these are done to fill the gaps in this development. the carpark is nearly done as well and with number 3 starting the gaps are indeed being filled.

guess number 4 be next whatever that will be (another office i guess) be nice to hear news about the rest of the site.

was also thinking if they are to get rid of the railway line towards the bay and replace it with a tram, how will this impact on the capital quarter development as it currently cuts it into two. I would imagine they would get rid of the bridge near by also. of course with the new tram line it will still cut the site in two, but it wouldn't be so high and impactful, could be a good place for a stop by there as well.
