Loving the poppies growing along the bank, nice that it’s getting vegetation. Hope we still get a water feature of some sort

There's an amendment to the planning for the MSCP in Central Quay, I didn't notice the original go in, but there's a Transport for Wales T logo on the exterior, will this be the coach station as well?

The Coach Station is simply some parking bays on the street outside the MSCP. I suspect the TfW logo is because this is the main car park for Central Station - maybe the 'Metro Central' branding??

I would love to see a 'Metro Central' masterplan - maybe when Network Rail finally release Central Station development plans??
Build it and they will come.
Get it wrong and they will fall off.

Well hopefully sometime soon as the original plan was to invest in Central in 2024. So far there's no sniff of even a proposal. Considering the £100's of millions the UK govt. spend of English stations, we really are the poor relation.

There's a third tower crane base now in place on site.

I've just moved into the new L&G offices so will have a decent view of all that soon. We're on the lower floors right now as part of testing the space out but I'll be on some of the upper floors by the end of the summer so will try and get some photos.

Some good drone shots here, although in typical WalesOnline fashion they call it Cardiff Quay in the first paragraph

There's some piling going on at the corner of Penarth Road and the existing car park.

Anyone kmow what this is for? The new car park or Ledger building?

Phase 1 central quay. I've spotted the cladding finally going up on the train adjacent side of the building. Hard to get an early impression as the view is far away. But it should shoot across the building over summer.

Finally! I was starting to think that the apartments were designed to have free air conditioning via the natural elements. Gramercy Tower were adding their cladding whilst they were constructing the floors and the overall construction was so much quicker. Whoever is in charge of Central Quay should go over to Gramercy Tower and ask for some advice on efficiency and speed.
