Just walked past and seen balconies have been added on the side facing Central Station. Maybe they have them along one side but not others?

Most up to date CGI based on the cladding they are actually using and some balconies included

It compliments the chimney and the other brick building beautifully. So frustrating :x

Didn't notice that the Moxy received planning permission at the end of November, had forgotten all about it until now!

Not the best design, a bit low rise and generic, but good to get a decent hotel brand.

I've been able to have a good look at this development going up and I must say that the cladding design looks dreadful. I frequently get the train between Cardiff and London and the quality of new high-rises in London is so much better.

Cardiff council are looking to buy the remaining two plots at central quay site for social housing.

I saw that, hard to judge what the buildings will look like from the artists impression. Good to be building social housing though. I wonder what was planned to go there previously?

As an aside, is there any sign of the lovely landscaping and water features in the other part of Central Quay? Can't help but suspect that the GCIs were to make it all look nice but that they're probably gonna pave it all with some plant beds and a few cycle racks.
