I thought that this building deserves it's own thread - after all, it looks like it'll be getting it's own tower crane! Any contributions on No.2 very welcome...

i always thought we were only getting this up to ground level with detailed permission yet to be submitted

oh and I thought it was to be 8 or 9 storeys but is it now to be 12! I hope so, but I'd be surprised if this isn't an error

From the CGI is doesn't look more than 8 storeys but the article says 12 then later on 9.

At least Wales Online are consistently poor at fact checking!

I believe we were at the stage where the original app was for 8 storeys and then they re-applied for an extra 1 - I fell that is what is being built. We'll know soon anyway with the speed that central core is going up.

Using slipform construction certainly accelerates construction. I hope the steel fabricator is able to match their pace.
