Any actual "metro" extension through this development is dependant on conclusion of the procurement of the core valley lines system currently in progress (expected early 2018) and, as an extension, would depend on additional capital and political prioritisation from the region AND Welsh Gov. There will be plenty of other competing priorities.
If there's no provision for this from the outset, before they've started any building, when they have a completely clear slate, it's difficult to see why. Surely if they're taking The Metro project seriously, this ought to be top of their list. What do you mean by "competing priorities"? The Metro is supposed to be about integrating public transport. What are you suggesting, grafting it a few years afterwards and demolishing some brand new houses to make way?
