Also that CGI makes central square look massive whereas in reality it's only a hop, skip and jump from the station.

Yeah, the perspective of that image is all out. The interchange building seems in the wrong place relative to the BBC building as well.

The architects, Foster + Partners, used the same perspective trickery for the Interchange building, making it look more angular and less boxy. I dare say this a common practice of theirs...

Its more of a panorama image, if you zoom in it will probably look more similar to what we will get.
