Typical, I've been away with work and off on leave and I miss the crane going up!

 Blimey Kyle - you're like me, I was in New York recently, not far from the massive Hudson Yards development and discovered (via this forum) that activity had officially started at Herbert St and I thought damn I should be there!! I mean, Manhattan's ok but it aint no capital quarter!! Anyway until you see it yourself' this crane is maybe 20ft taller than the one at No.3 ;)

In that photo there are at least 3 planning crimes, makes the debate about Central Square seem nit picky considering all the proposals there are miles ahead of some of these carbuncles. Which is nice.

Ty Pont Haern (or "Liberty Bridge" as its called now I think!) is a clear 'planning crime'. What others? Marriott hotel? I know some people don't like Altolusso but I actually do (although it looks less good very close up than from a bit of a distance).

Funnily enough I was in Boston with work.

How's the Hudson Yard development getting on? I haven't been to New York for years.

The Mariott Hotel is a crime when you consider the lovely old stone fronted building that use to be on that site. I also think it's a shame that many of Cardiff's canals were either filled in or covered over.

The Marriott isn't the best but I was referring to the Ty Pont Haearn, Ibis and the other prison looking hotel which I forget the name of in the foreground. They're appalling for city centre buildings.

Hudson Yard looking good! still someway to go mind. The main tower I believe will be taller than the empire state and not far away on 34th street - but as I said pretty average compared to activity at capital quarter!! :)

Don't want to get off topic from No.4
