Reminds me of a taller Aspect more than anything!

Cladding has started to the smaller block. Sorry no pics
Not enough to judge. Looks ok but have reservations over visible fixings and gaps between panels.

I disagree, I think it looks pretty nice, especially from the Penarth side. It's good to see quite a few sold signs in the windows as well, I was worried they wouldn't sell given the asking price but they seem to be doing ok.

I think it's starting to look like a class act - that black is always going to be a bit 'marmite'
but I love it!

Building looks quality. Are both going to be black?

I'd take that finish over any of the tatty cheap painted render that was de rigueur a few years back. I think the black looks very smart and contemporary.

No, the taller half of the Pont-y-Werin side building is going to be yellow/gold according the the renders - intrigued to see how that turns out.

Black seems to be the, um, new black judging by the Custom House Travelodge and (hopefully) the Watkin Jones tower. I certainly agree with Simon that its a step up from the endless timber and white render finishes we used to get. You only have to compare the ITV studios in Assembly Square with the nearby Celestia to see the difference.
