Tiled portraits on the Capitol

Hi guys. Does anyone have any info on these portraits? I think I read somewhere that they came from a cafe.

I remember that they were from the Dutch cafe that was on the site before development.

Let's not tear down any more beautiful old buildings for hideous tat eh?

The Dutch Cafe closed in the fifties, but the portraits remained above street level as can be seen below.

I believe all 4 were originally incorporated, but one was removed when the Capitol centre had a modern refurb... But I can't seem to find any photographs to prove it...

The 4th is on the wall in the Centre's management suite.
