That looks like a conversion of the current Premier Inn which is already there.

The rooms look a lot like the Yotel 'pod' rooms which are at several airports.

Metal barriers erected around the custom house building this evening.....looks like progress is imminent.

Plenty going on getting things set up for this new building. It looks like the facade is being secured at the moment.

presumably the walkway for pedestrians when hoardings are up and construction in full flow...

It looks very much as if this build and the one in Pierhead Street were covered by a single construction contract. Work in the Bay is nearing completion just as this one cranks up.

I'm really pleased to see the site finally being used for something, but it's a shame it wasn't those offices that were planned a few years back. I'm a bit worried that this won't end up looking that good from the pictures we've seen. We'll see.

Speaking of Premier Inn, the one in the bay is almost complete. They are taking bookings from 29 April.
