So this is well underway. The scaffolding is up and the white wall next to Tair Pluen has been demolished. Does anyone have any photos of what it will eventually look like? I remember seeing something ages ago.

Such an uninspiring design in my opinion

Mediocrity in bricks & mortar. For such a key part of the city centre it is rubbish.

BTW I will be a regular at the Pho Cafe primarily based on their food rather than the architecture of the building they will occupy.

Wow. Takes some doing to put all that effort in, then result in something that (IMHO) actually looks worse than what was there originally. Truly excelled themselves.

Can't bring myself to hate it. It's just terribly bland.

I guess there's not a lot you could do differently given the constraints of the site but if the finishes are of high quality it might be a slight upgrade on what was there before.

Its a predominantly historical area with low rise buildings of different styles, it would be nice if the new building incorporated some of the nearby design elements, specifically of the gothic church it faces.

WOW this is bad! Makes you wonder how these people hold down jobs....

I like the stonework and windows.

Looks absolutely fine. I would imagine it will be quite popular. I quite like the idea of not every new building having to blow our socks off.
