Cardiff and Bristol

I've just been reading this Bristol Post article that highlights an alarmingly high rate of business failures in Cardiff last year. The figures for Cardiff are so high in comparison to other surrounding counties that it almost feels like some sort of statistical error!

Naturally, with this being from the same journalistic stable as Wales Online, the headline question, "Why Bristol is doing better than Cardiff in wake of Brexit uncertainty", goes completely unanswered in the article.

There's definitely something suspicious about the claim that double the number of businesses registered were dissolved in Cardiff. If you look at the stats on all the other surrounding areas on the info graphic it's nothing like that anywhere else.

Highly misleading. A dissolved company doesn't necessarily represent a business going bust.

Maybe statistic due to Companies House being in Cardiff?
