I think if I lived in near the Exchange I'd be heartly fed up by the whole saga and pretty mistrustful of anyone who had connections with Signature Living.
I've met Ashley Govier a few times and, while I'm sure he's sincere, it's not clear to me how he would have access to sufficient funds to take the project forward. He doesn't appear to have deep pockets himself.
I suspect the objections to the license were partly born of mistrust for the whole project rather than the late license itself.
