What is the point in knocking down Marland House but not the car park within this 1st planning application? With those plans only plot 9 can be built in that area. Even then part of plot 9 is outside of the planning app so this won't be built either. :?

Plot 2 is 100,000 square foot (at least that's what's been said in the media), enough for a good few hundred staff. So it will cover a company like PWC location their back office here if they choose Cardiff.

that's not democracy, that is process driven bureaucracy for the sake of it. waste of time and effort. here's my questionnaire to the people of Cardiff

I wonder if the plot number represents the order the buildings go up. If so it could be a bit of a wait for the new bus station.

Plot 9 at 60m tall would be a respectable height, and looks like a hotel based on the hotel drop off area outside.

The Grade II listed water tower at central station is to get a new lick of paint

A bit more than a lick of paint!

"PAINTING OF THE EXTERIOR DRUM OF THE WATER TOWER WITH A MURAL DEPICTING SCENES FROM THE MABINOGION AND OTHER LOCAL REFERENCES BY INTERNATIONAL ARTIST PETE FOWLER"

I'm presuming that's the guy who did the album covers for SFA in which case it could be something really good.

No real surprise, but the Marland House and NCP car park site has been chosen for the new bus station:
