Some arcade news -

High Street, Duke Street and Castle Arcades are to get new flooring. The current flooring will be taken up and new limestone slabs will be laid across all three arcades. The new flooring has been chosen to be as close as possible to the original flooring when the arcades were built in the C19th.

This is good news - Duke St is particularly in need of an upgrade.

In Castle Arcade the extension to Barkers is almost complete. Also the unit that used to be Chessman many moons ago has been renovated so that it matches all of the other units (I think the same thing will happen with the Clive Ranger unit in due course).
