The Cardiff Arms seems to be doing well. Have been in a few times and it has a nice vibe about it.

Had a wander when I was home last week and I have to say that the dock feeder development in Churchill Way looks fantastic. I was a tad sceptical at first, but as the planting has grown it really has become a little oasis in town.
Plenty of people having their lunch there, loads of bees and lots of fish in the feeder.

The Cardiff Arms also looks great, just need the former Wow building to be developed, looks derelict.

Hopefully we'll see some movement on the rest of the canal quarter scheme soon.

I agree with the Dock Feeder comments. It gets some bad rep but the plants are bedding in very well - it's always busy and there were even fish visible!

I just wish they could keep on top of the litter at the one end!

Yes that WOW building is looking pretty bad at the moment. I'm sure there was a planning application on it recently for some works....

Plans have been submitted for an Upside Down House at the top of Churchill Way in the space that has recently been used by some rather grubby takeaway vans.

The planning is for 12 months. And it should be a good addition - they're really popular with tourists in their existing locations and should benefit the canal quarter.

There are some quite big changes going on at Pulse at the moment.

The ground floor bar has been closed for a month or two and is being kitted out as a new bar called The Exchange, which will be open through the day serving food, and then at weekends it'll connect with Pulse in the night as previously.

They're splitting the frontage, relegating the Pulse sign to the club entrance while building a new frontage onto The Exchange:

It makes sense I guess because Pulse hasn't opened during the daytime since covid and people probably see that brand more as a club these days.
