With all the news items about the 5 Burns stations, can anyone help me understand something? The Cardiff East station on Newport Road looks like it is going to be placed by TGI Fridays. Do people think this would be a well utilised station? I just can't imagine many people using it so why it would be seen as a priority

I guess they see it serving Tremofa.

The plans showed it having a second entrance in Splott on Beresford road and it'll also eventually be an interchange with the Cardiff bay to Splott extension of the metro

North Edward Terrace off Churchill Way has been closed off by police as there is a huge section of cladding (and possibly a window, coudn't quite make it out) hanging off Landmark Place above the road.

Work had only started last week to replace the cladding and windows of the building, but on the Churchill Way side, so I don't know if safety concerns had already been raised to prompt that.

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is taking over the Old Library, planning application has been submitted this week;

This looks like a quality restoration, removing some of the modern additions, and adding a performance space to the city centre. Not sure if the Cardiff Museum will find a new home.

It's already been announced that the Museum is staying. There was bit of an outcry when it was suggested it might shut.

HYS is pronounced 'Highs'. It was meant to be called High originally but because the arcade is (kind of) shaped like a Y, they decided to... Yeah... it's an odd name.
