I think it looks ghastly. A great location spoiled cheap and tacky rubbish.

I really quite like it - so many budget hotels look like they've just been plucked from a book of bog standard building designs, with absolutely no imagination. At least this is daring to look a bit different - I just worry that they might cut costs with the materials, but I hope I'm wrong.

I Like it, great to see some more quirky architectural designs coming to fruition in Cardiff.

I like it too, it's quirky. Only complaint is those yellow triangles underneath look too much like the foam they put around scaffolding poles so it'll never look finished.

Another student development in City Road -

https://planning.cardiff.gov.uk/online- ... APR_122266

Looks crap to me. Too busy and silly primary colours being added to make up for poor design. City Road is in danger of looking like a right hotch-potch. I have no trouble with redevelopment as it's no Regent Street at the moment but it should be of an appropriate scale and with appropriate materials.

On dear oh dear. Looks like a DIY store on an out of town retail park. This was the previous design -

For god’s sake. Why did they even bother?

It’s time the council got rough with developers I think. You want to build, you build well.

Wow, I hope that gets rejected. Awful.
