Plans submitted to demolish part of the Atlantic Wharf Holiday Inn to add a new hotel with longer stay rooms (Stalybridge Suites). Looks an improvement.

That's "Staybridge Suites" :D

Stalybridge Suites conjures up an image of a sofa on the front lawn of a Manchester council house.

I've stayed in a Staybridge Suites in Orlando, it's a hotel with serviced apartments. Not many facilities, no bar or restaurant but they provided a buffet breakfast.

I think there are quite a few in the states.

They are part of IHG, they are like serviced apartments with a hotel element. Essentially they want longer term guests who are allowed to rearrange the rooms furniture to suite their needs. I stayed at the one in Newcastle, you have a little kitchen and seating area as part of the room, nice view as well

They have been at this now for longer than the Charles Street tower.
What on earth are they doing, other than replacing every square inch of cladding.

I hope the builders NHBC* 10 year warranty kicks in.

National Hotel-Building Council. :)

Easy Hotel to be built in fitzalan place, I think this might be the office building next to the planned student towers.
I've just been staying in an easy hotel in London, no TVs in the rooms, some rooms don't even have windows and it's an extra £10 if you want your room cleaned.
