More info on Customhouse st watkin jones tower https://youtu.be/iepf9Yo_HuY
By my calculation I'm thinking that this will be approx. 110m so a very welcome addition to our skyline and with grainger development at john St. and Harlech Court on Bute Terrace this area of city centre is going to be quite impressive at the Cardiff/Wales level hopefully in 3-4yrs time :)

Actually I've re-calculated  and now believe the customhouse st. tower height to be more like 105metres- still anything over 100metres is a big plus to our skyline! :)

Part of the development is to refurnish the railway archers into retail units. No mention of building height but says it will contain 400 hundred apartments. Based on copper works that has 307 over 22 floors guess this one could be a little bit taller?

Just found an article suggesting that this development will be 26 stories, I’m guessing around 85 meters

That looks really good, hopefully it actually happens, unlike the Queens West hotel plan.

It should be pretty straight forward. The building behind the original Art Deco facade is relatively modern (1990s or 2,000s, I think) so extending it upwards is probably fairly easy.

Just noticed on the webpage for the new proposed Local Development Plan that amongst all the other areas proposed by owners and developers for development was ABP proposing the East Bute Dock as an area for a mixed retail, leisure and housing development! Presumably this would mean draining and building on the dock site, so much for the water views people paid for when they bought their flats and houses.

I doubt they would get permission to fill it in, and it also acts as part for the dock feeder which would need to be redirected. I can see why APB might want to do something with it though. There was a plan for a waterski and wakeboarding facility many years ago and more recently there was this "floating village" concept:

Interesting to see that the design work was done by McGregor Coxall who also came up with the "blue line" concept for Bute street/Lloyd George Avenue:
