Same company that’s building the student accommodation on city road

That’s outrageously tall. There’s also another 3 “mini” towers next to it that are taller than anything we currently have! I’d be amazed if whatever this is gets through planning in this form...

Is that the model which a few years back was housed in a visitor centre by the Bay? There seem to be quite a few buildings on it which have never become a reality.

The website says they bought Harlech Court in May '18 but there is no more information about their plans (though anything which eradicates Harlech Court is worthy of consideration...)

Outrageous. This company is a scam - see recent planning application to the council claiming poverty and wanting to change the use of the student accommodation on city road or "there's no point in continuing construction".

Does anybody know what has happened to the premier inn down the bay? Is there sewer problems as work under the road outside has been going on for months now. I seemed to remember it was due to open at the end of May.

I heard that the contractor had stopped paying the workers and may have gone bust, though it may be just a rumour, saying that i haven't seen a worker there for some time!

The hotel seems complete. Curtains up in the rooms and the bar and reception area all looks finished. Do you mean the issue is around the company doing the road works outside? I have noticed today the hole has been filled on the hotel side but still lots going on in the middle of the road.

It is weird. Last winter, the PI website was taking bookings from May 29th onwards and the place looks complete from outside.

Another rumour doing the rounds is that, because of that which must not be mentioned, there is a severe shortage of hospitality and catering staff across the city.

PI website is quoting an opening date of 13/09 - but if you try to check availability or prices it directs you to the other Cardiff PIs...
