Looks like a new street food hall is going to open in the Castle Arcade this year. Think this is a good spot for it given all the bars and cafes that have opened that end of town in recent years.

Intrigued by this but can't help but feel there are probably better locations in the city centre that could've been explored? Wasn't there talk about something above Miller & Carter?

I assumed this development was in the High St Arcade where there are existing plans for a food hall.

Lack of footfall and visibility are issues when trying to use upper floors, so I don't think the old Burger & Lobster unit above Miller & Carter would be the right location. If it was instead of Miller & Carter that would work very well.

It is the one in High Street Arcade they've been talking about for a while (inside the old nightclub) - it's confusing in the news reports because they refer to the Castle Quarters Arcades which covers the Castle Arcade and High Street and Duke Street arcades

That makes more sense from the photos! I wonder how many of these the city centre can support? I know they are looking at a similar thing for the old Capitol shopping centre.

The Capitol food hall was cancelled a while back. 2/3 of the centre is now being developed into a Gravity Max entertainment venue.

Sadly BigMoose has closed

Also, looks like yet another pizza restaurant will soon be opening, Bosco, at 14 High Street

To be fair...its more than your average Pizza Resturant....more of an Italian and in the vein of Jamie's Italian which always did well in Cardiff. I've been to Bosco in Cheltenham and was very impressed. Now all we need is a San Carlo
