The team behind award-winning tapas restaurant Bar 44 is to open a fourth location in Cardiff, specialising in Spanish 'asador' cooking as well as having dedicated wine and cheese rooms. This brand new venture is set to introduce a style of Spanish dining not seen before in Wales.
The new restaurant, Asador 44, will be the first in Wales to specialise in ‘asador’-style cooking, which will involve chargrilling the world’s finest meat, fish and vegetables over charcoal and wood.
The Bar 44 Group already has locations in Cowbridge and Penarth and opened its first Cardiff restaurant in 2015.
Due to the success of Bar 44 in Cardiff the brothers behind the group, Owen and Tom Morgan, have decided to open another restaurant in the capital.
They have struck a deal with SA Brains to open in Spring 2017 on Quay Street, Cardiff at the site of the brewery's Greenwood & Brown diner, which was launched five year's ago as Brains' first standalone restaurant but will close in the New Year.
