I fully expect Riverside to disappear completely in the next 10/15 years, trapped in an estate agent pincer movement from Canton and Grangetown.

According to Google boundaries for Riverside include Pontcanna (?) https://www.google.com/maps/place/Riverside,+Cardiff

And Canton incorporates Leckwith (??) https://www.google.com/maps/place/Canton,+Cardiff

Pontcanna and Grangetown only gets a pin when you search them, not a bordered area (???) Wonder what part of Cardiff Google thinks the the streets off Corporation Road should be under!

Adamsdown gets a border.... But not Splott..... Even Century Wharf gets given a bordered area on Google

I'd me more likely to use this from Cardiff Housing as a guide https://www.cardiffhousing.co.uk/images/heatmap_blank.gif

I think the housing map is a lot closer to the mark than the electoral divisions in terms of way most Cardiffians would describe places.

"Llanedeyrn including Cyncoed" might cause a few heart attacks though!

New World Trading Company (owners of The Botanist) are opening a second venture in Cardiff. NWTC are planning to open ‘The Club House’ in Mermaid Quay. ‘The Club House’ currently have locations in Liverpool and Plymouth. The concept bar and restaurant will occupy the previous ‘Salt’ unit. A welcome addition to the new era Mermaid Quay!

Another popular London Thai restaurant is planning to open in Cardiff. Rosa's Thai have submitted a planning application to occupy the last remaining unit on Church Street (unit D). The 3,722 Sq Ft unit is set over the ground floor and basement levels. Rosa's Thai will join The Botanist, Pho, Honest Burger and Mowgli Street Food in the popular Church Street development.

Kommune, have submitted a planning application for units NSU01/NSU02 at the Capitol Centre. These are the units previously occupied by Poundworld and H&M.

Kommune is an “innovative concept that brings together some of the most acclaimed, independent kitchens, brewers and retailers in a unique, urban space”. There’s currently one Kommune in Sheffield, so this appears to be their second venture.

Not sure about the location, but it’ll be nice to see the Queen Street station frontage occupied again and it’s promising to see the Capitol attracting new concepts and tenants. These street food kitchens seem to be all the rage at the moment and I’ve enjoyed the few I’ve been to. I wish them the best of luck!

I really like this one. Re-opening the frontage opposite Queen Street station is a very positive move and, given the development of the Metro, it could prove very popular with station users.

This has been on the cards for about 6 months now so it's nice to see some movement. It seems like a modern take on a food court, which is what many have been saying the centre needs for so long.
