Some recent news -

Bristol based Kong bar is opening in Cardiff -

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/f ... s-12206916

I think this is going in what was Browns, the subterraenean bar under Hodge House. The latest in a long line of Bristol based outlets that are colonising Cardiff - Turtle Bay, Loungers, Urban Standard etc. Other than a hanful of Brains pubs and Coffee No 1's are there any Welsh chains making inroads into the west country market?

Also I walked past what used to be Bella Italia in High Street and there is a sign saying that something called the 'Hashery' will be opening soon. Can't find any info on this although the sign in the window helpfully states that it will be serving cocktails and food.

I found this: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... ng-history

edit: the above link doesn't seem to be working. https://www.endole.co.uk/company/103620 ... ashery-ltd

The Hashery Ltd is a recently formed company.

Hi!
Very glad to join the Cardiff community ;) I'm new here but already want to make myself useful 8-) Since we are discussing restaurants and cafes in this topic, I'm excited to share with you, guys, my recent discovery. On the web I've come across the website Alltheviews. It's not bad. It shows ratings for all restaurants found in Cardiff and allows to apply different filters to find just the perfect restaurant. For example, you may choose the needed cuisine, the suitable distance between you and a place, the average price, etc. I've already spent many hours looking for the best restaurant in Cardiff: http://www.alltheviews.com/Cardiff The search is entertaining, by the way  Also, I usually check TripAdvisor and Zagat for some unusual places to have a meal at. The reviews, as a rule, come in handy. And what about you? Do you use any special services to find a new restaurant in a native town?

Is that a name of a new restaurant? Makes a change to another burger joint I suppose.

Alltheviews.com is simply reposting Tripadvisor rankings and, unforgivably, places Cardiff in England.

Yeah, it's a huuuge mistake! (about placing Cardiff in England) However, the website itself is useful. It not only provides Tripadvisor ratings, but also Yelp, Zomato, Facebook, etc. Mmm, yummy: http://www.alltheviews.com/Park-House-Cardiff
