The Stadium:
The stadium has a large capacity but it only partly
meets UEFA’s requirements in terms of accessibility, as
it lacks parking areas close by.
Accommodation
The hotel capacity in Cardiff is small and would only
allow the city to accommodate a limited number of
fans and key UEFA target groups. Alternative
accommodation such as guest houses, apartment
villages and university residencies would have to be
used and the hotel accommodation radius would
need to be extended to neighbouring cities.
If Bayscape was built then this would alleviate the
problem.
The number of rooms secured for key UEFA target
groups just about meets the bid targets and covers
part of UEFA’s requirements.
Language:
The language spoken here is English, although many
insist that everything is translated into Welsh, including
the referees instructions, this would cause confusion.
In summary we'll give it to London as our wives like the
shopping and the night-life there!!

The word is that if Wembley gets the final the Cardiff bid is likely to be successful. Lets hope so. I've expressed doubts about the benefits of hosting these type of events but the cumulative effect of hosting a number of high profile events could be a game changer. In terms of popularity football beats every other sport by some margin and having a few games for EURO 2020, will be huge.
