I wonder if a hotel would be good there considering the new arena development?

Part of the reason the site has remained vacant was that it was one of the two sites being considered for the new BBC Wales HQ and the landowners were fairly confident of landing a blue-chip tenant given the location adjacent to the Senedd, Roath Lock studios and BBC Hodinott Hall. In the end Central Square won out due to its good public transport links.

Change of design for the multistory car park!

https://www.cardiffidoxcloud.wales/publ ... 859421.pdf

Looks like they've dropped all the greenery and are going for a completely grey box :(

Seem to be completely rebuilding the car park with the introduction of half floors rather than just extending upon the existing floor plan as well.

Had a lovely meal last night at The Sultan, great new Turkish that has opened in the ‘Big Windsor’ by Bills and Wetherspoons.

Such a welcome break to have an independent restaurant open in the Bay. Would highly recommend

Will be good to see another section of this being developed, but why is there no plan for any public transport for this site? Such a big site with so many facilities should have a Metro connection, a very slow bus is not a solution, otherwise it's just a car destination.

Yeah it will be good to see this finally finished, although i am sure the place is cursed with the amount of failed attempts here the past two decades! I guess its only an 8 min walk from the nearest train station over the pedestrian bridge? I'm not sure thy could justify the spending for a new light? rail line (through grangetown?). A frequent and rapid bus link would be good! Its definitely way too car dependent in its current configuration.
