Hobbs have submitted a signage planning application for unit LG25. This unit was previously occupied by Karen Millen. Hobbs currently operate an outlet location at the Capitol centre. Judging by the signage app, this will be a full-line standalone store.

A white hoarding has been erected in-front of unit LG15. This unit was previously occupied by Thomas Cook. The hoarding protrudes the front of the unit, which suggests a fit-out is expected.

Phase Eight has a planning application for signage in the former Kids Around unit in the Grand Arcade. Another nail in the Capitol's coffin.

Surely there must be a plan from the owners, they must be haemorrhaging money?!

The Ivy have submitted a licensing application to incorporate Ivy Asia into their current Cardiff restaurant on The Hayes. The application is for LG69/70 (current Ivy) and LG84 (previous Cath Kidson). There is a service corridor which separates the units.

More positive St David’s news... Rituals have submitted a planning application to occupy unit LG15. Oxford Westgate is currently their nearest store! A nice addition to the lower Grand Arcade.

Rituals is a good brand. The old Follie Foli unit in Hayes Arcade is going to be local stationary brand Floris https://www.floris.uk/ Now we need Space NK and Zara Home

Ivy Asia have submitted a planning application for new signage and outdoor seating on The Hayes. Ivy Asia is set to occupy the units previously occupied by Cath Kidson (LG84) and Seasalt (LG85). Having reviewed the floorplans, it appears Ivy Asia will operate standalone to The Ivy (unlike their 2-in-1 concept in Manchester). Should this be the case, it will be the second standalone Ivy Asia restaurant in the UK.

The latest leasing plans (dated September 2021) have been released - https://stdavidscardiff.com/sites/st_da ... 309211.pdf

Since I shared the last plans, the only changes are as follows:

- KLG06 (Previously Kiehls) is now Under Offer / In Solicitor's Hands
- CW21 (Previously Virgin Media) in now let to Damaged Society
- KUG02 (Previously ChimiChanga) is now Under Offer / In Solicitor's Hands

Still no indication or updates relating to the Debenham's unit. The map does however continue to show the upper floor segment subdivided.
